Introduction

What its all about...

I don't know about you, but I am constantly wondering what to have for dinner. I have hundreds of recipe books and access to millions of cooking sites yet can never decide what to have! This blog details simple (usually) dishes that do not require extensive amounts of expensive ingredients or weird gadgets that nobody has ever heard of. The aim is to detail recipes that are a good idea for dinner and avoid the 'must remember that one, then promptly forget' situation.

So, why don't you click one of the recipes to the right and see if you get some inspiration? Don't get too hung up on following these things to the letter. I have learnt over many years of cooking, that a lot of it you can make up as you go along. How hard can it be?? If any of the recipes are unclear please let me know and I will try to remove any ambiguity. Conversely, if you have a recipe but you are not sure you are doing it right then let me know and I will see what's what.

Above all, have fun! Cooking should not be a chore!

However...

If you do feel you want to push the boat out and go for some extreme cooking you could do worse than visit French Laundry At Home. Not only is this an example of how a blog should actually look but it is also a journey through Thomas Keller's French Laundry Cookbook one recipe at a time. Definitely not for the impatient or the feint hearted! Credit where credit is due, Carol Blymire has done an excellent job.
